How to become an AHA Instructor

You must meet the following critieria:

  1. Be accepted by an AHA Training Center prior to enrolling in an Instructor Course, and have a completed Instructor Candidate Application to file with that Training Center. Contact julie@americanhealtheducation.com for information.
  2. Have current AHA provider status in the discipline for that Instructor Course and be proficient in all the skills of that discipline.
  3. Complete the American Heart Association online Instructor Essentials Course: www.onlineaha.org.
  4. Successfully complete the discipline-specific classroom Instructor Course: Steps 1-3 must be completed prior to enrolling in any Instructor Course.
  5. Successfully complete monitored teaching in the first course within six months of completing the discipline-specific classroom Instructor Course (Training Center Coordinators can require additional monitoring if needed).

 

 

Combined Instructor Course-One Day/One Fee

Basic Life Support Instructor/HeartSaver Instructor/First Aid Instructor

Fee: $495, Time: 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., 8 CE

September 12, 2017 (Tues) or  November 13, 2017 (Mon)

 

 

ACLS Instructor & PALS Instructor
