Trauma- RN Basics

This course is part of the Emergency Nurse Program in which courses may be taken individually. In this one day class RNs will be introduced to the unique process, foundation, qualifications, and coverage of nursing specific responsibilities in the care of a trauma patient. Understand the basic concepts of trauma, demonstrate in class scenario primary and secondary assessment survey, verbally correlate rational supporting critical thinking specific to trauma care, and understand nursing specific management overview of a trauma patient. Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 13935 for 6 contact hours. Sheehy's Manual of Emergency Care- 7th Edition is mandatory for course and may be purchased through or Amazon.
