Emergency Nurse Program


This training program is designed to introduce nurses to emergency nursing and is appropriate for new grads, RN’s with general nursing experience, as well as nurses with no previous emergency nursing experience. The program is based on Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) curriculum and includes:  Ethical/legal issues, Assessment & priority setting, Cardiac & respiratory emergencies, Medical emergencies, Psychiatric emergencies, Toxins & environmental emergencies, Substance Abuse, Urological emergencies, Abdominal emergencies, Trauma, OB/ GYN, Facial/ENT emergencies, Pediatric emergencies, Burns, Disasters, Ocular emergencies, STDs/Sexual Assault and more. Two-week advanced registration is recommended for precourse study of required textbook*. Basic EKG interpretation skills are a prerequisite-check CE Classes for Basic EKG course. An Emergency Nurse Program certificate is provided upon completion of all 8 days. Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 13935 for 48 contact hours.


*Sheehy's Manual of Emergency Care- 7th Edition is mandatory for this course and may be purchased through or Amazon.

August 24, 25, 2017- Emergency RN Critical Thinking Development- $240 - 12 CE

August 26, 2017- Trauma RN Basics- $120- 6 CE

August 28 & 29, 2017- Advanced Emergency Nursing Care-$240- 12 CE
