No-Cost EMT Training for Qualified Veterans

A California State-Funded Training Program

American Health Education is proud to work with the State of California to provide our EMT Training course at no charge to qualified United States Veterans. This training course will provide students with the knowledge and skills to successfully complete the exam with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) to ensure they have gained the competencies required to help patients in need of emergency medical assistance.

Who Qualifies?

Veterans who have served on active full-time duty in the Armed Forces and were:

 

a) honorably discharged.
b) released from active duty because of a service-connected disability, or
c) are transitioning active-duty military personnel within one year prior to the anticipated separation date.

 

Reservists who have served on active full-time duty and who are still on reserve status are also eligible.

Program Participants Requirements:

In addition to meeting standard program requirements, Veteran students must:

• show proof of military service and current status (DD214, DD215 or other release document).
• commit to complete chosen course (5 or 10 weeks).
• report post-training employment information to AHE including hours and hourly wage information.
