Hear From Our Students
“During my deployment, I was stationed at the Standing Rock Native American Reservation in North/South Dakota. My responsibilities included assisting in teaching EMS skills and managing the Vial-of-Life clinic. AHE’s robust foundation of EMS skills and knowledge instilled in me confidence, enabling me to effectively teach and volunteer.”
“I had the incredible opportunity to attend the 2024 NORCAL Mexico Clinic Outreach as an EMT. From taking patient histories and vitals to performing ultrasounds and EKGs, and even assisting in various procedures, I gained hands-on experience far beyond what I had imagined as an EMT. I am deeply grateful to AHE for equipping me with the confidence and skills necessary to provide effective and compassionate care.”
“On the Standing Rock Reservation, we provided free health screenings to community members and taught local students the techniques of emergency medical response. While I was a student at AHE, I realized how much I loved reviewing the material with my classmates and running scenarios that enhanced our knowledge. AHE provided me the groundwork for successful learning, which translated into becoming an FTO and ultimately teaching Lakota students how to save lives!”
